ABOUT OUR ID and PROOF OF HOME ADDRESS REQUIREMENT

In order to join or renew as an Active DCTV Member – with opportunities to use our facilities, equipment, and training, and to submit programming, you must supply a valid government ID and separate documentation of your home address, in addition to your membership application and fee. DC residency is not required for membership – all members are required to provide ID and proof of their home address, regardless of where they reside.

In addition to active DCTV members, DCTV also welcomes those who wish to be a Supporting Friend of DCTV. These members vote in our annual elections, but do not use our facilities, equipment, nor training, and cannot submit programming. If you do not provide the requested ID and proof of home address, we will process your membership as a Supporting Friend of DCTV.

Active DCTV Member status can be initiated (or renewed) once the requested documents are submitted. New members must provide the requested documents before they participate in Introduction to DCTV or any other courses. Renewing members must provide the requested documents in order to maintain access to DCTV studios, equipment, or classes.
